How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Finwo. Last updated: July 2026.

1. Information we collect

When you create a Finwo account we collect your name, phone number, and the pincode you tell us you live or shop near. Merchants additionally provide business details, bank account information for settlements, and KYC documents required by our payment partner.

We automatically log basic device and usage information — app version, coarse location when you allow it, and the transactions and reviews you make on the platform — so we can show you nearby merchants and keep the ledger accurate.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to process payments, calculate and pay out review cashback, show merchants and offers near you, prevent fraud, and respond when you contact support.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share the minimum necessary data with payment processors, cloud infrastructure providers, and — where required — law enforcement or regulators.

3. Data retention

We keep transaction, review, and account records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. Soft-deleted records are retained rather than immediately erased so that past transactions and reviews remain auditable.

You can ask us to delete data that isn’t subject to a legal retention requirement by writing to us at the address below.

4. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and you can withdraw consent for optional data collection (such as location) at any time from your device settings. Some information — like completed transactions — can’t be deleted while it’s needed for accounting or legal reasons.

5. Grievance officer

If you have a complaint about how we’ve handled your personal information, you can write to our grievance officer at our registered office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. We aim to acknowledge complaints within a week and resolve them within 30 days, in line with applicable Indian data protection law.

6. Governing law and disputes

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

This is placeholder policy text while Finwo finalizes its legal review; it will be updated as our product and data practices evolve.
